Born in Dublin, but with very strong family connections to the West of Ireland, I now live in Ennis, Co Clare with my husband and two children. After more than fifteen years working in the human resources industry in Ireland I made a decision to take a completely different career path and become a fully qualified celebrant through the Irish Institute of Celebrants (IIOC).
Becoming a celebrant was always something that was of interest to me. Growing up in a family that is steeped in the hospitality industry and having attended many weddings, I always felt that I would love to work with couples and families to make their day that bit more special and really personal to them. A day that will be remembered forever.
I have officiated over 50 ceremonies in some of the most amazing places and venues, including The Cliffs of Moher, Loop Head, Hotel Doolin, Dromoland Castle to name but a few. If you are interested in talking to me about your upcoming ceremony, please don’t hesitate to get in touch on firstname.lastname@example.org or read more about the ceremonies we can offer here. I would love to hear from you and work with you to make the ceremony you always dreamed about a reality.
I got married at The Armada Hotel, Spanish Point, Co. Clare in the summer of 2008. We had such fun dreaming up our unique outdoor celebration, and to see it come to fruition, with the waves crashing against the rocks and the sliver of sun smiling over us, was just perfect.
My brother Gavin played ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ on the ukulele, our good friend Lorie sang ‘Fields of Gold’, we had a selection of cool poems and I quoted Bob Dylan. What’s not to love ?
I was a secondary school English teacher at the time, one who enjoyed, and still enjoys, to do things a little bit differently. Ultimately, that is what attracted me to becoming a Celebrant; performing ceremonies with a difference.
I love being a Celebrant. I really enjoy meeting people; couples, children and families. And to help them to deliver their perfect ceremony is, quite honestly, an honour.
I was born in Dublin and have been living in Ennis for the last 15 years with my Husband, two children and our Cockapoo Buddy. My Summer holidays growing up were spent in County Clare and I even picked the name Clare as my confirmation name. I love the scenic beauty and rugged landscape of this part of Ireland so much!
As part of Coastal Ceremonies and with over 20 years in the Hospitality Industry, I feel very lucky to be doing a job that I genuinely love. No couple are the same and this is what I love most, meeting each couple and planning a completely unique and individual Ceremony for them. It is incredibly rewarding.
With Coastal Ceremonies I also offer the option of a Wedding Planning service. My personal approach to each Wedding I plan means that your ideas and dreams come to life without exceeding your budget. Should you choose to plan with me and Coastal Ceremonies it will be stress free ensuring you can relax and enjoy the build up to the event as well as having the confidence on the day that everything will go according to plan.
