Brighter Days Ahead

Flowers on the Cliffs of Moher with Coastal CeremoniesSpring is the season of hope. Tight buds are awaiting the call to bloom, wildlife begins to re-emerge and young birds are eager to spread their wings and fearlessly take flight over the flourishing landscape. To the many couples in Ireland and around the world, awaiting their wedding day; their own call to bloom, I say be hopeful, and you will re-emerge, we all will, to take flight and to flourish.

Spring Weddings

Indeed many couples have decided to book us for their wedding next spring. We are as eager as they are and are so happy to be planning ceremonies again.

I feel Liam O’ Maonlai from The Hot House Flowers anticipates this feeling the best:

‘There’s a smell of fresh cut grass

And it’s filling up my senses

And the sun is shining down

On the blossoms in the avenue

There’s a buzzing fly

Hanging around the bluebells and the daisies

There’s a lot more loving

Left in this world’

Wedding in Ireland with Coastal Ceremonies

It’s exciting to be able to connect with couples, perhaps to help them to visualise their ceremony on The Cliffs of Moher or the venue of their dreams, indoor or out.  Some couples are opting for an elopement package with us, an option that before this year, did not seem as popular, at least for Irish couples. Like Nature, everything has its time. In the modern day elopement, the couple often enjoy the company of their families and close friends, unlike the traditional assumption that a couple runs away to marry in secret!

Wedding Ceremony

Imagine your ceremony, your very own wedding or vow renewal in Ireland, overlooking The Wild Atlantic Way, using the qualities of springtime to foster the promise of a new beginning. Imagine your ceremony at sunset, as you take advantage of ‘the grand stretch in the evening’.

And listen to Nature tell her tale’  (Heidi Campbell)

Brighter Days Ahead

Eloping in Ireland Wild Atlantic WayIn the days of old, in the time between the winter solstice and the spring equinox, there was much demand on our ancestors to clear, sow and plant for a good harvest. They innately understood how the season was created and timed by the Earth’s elliptical journey around the sun. There was a central figure, revered in these Pagan and Christian times and her name was Brigid. Brigid, or St. Brigid, gifted our ancestors with a new vision for future prosperous times, as she helped them herald the warmer, brighter days. In the days of now, and with respect to everyone who wishes to get married or to help celebrate a wedding, we could take on board the guidance and advice of this 5th Century Spring Goddess. Prepare for brighter days ahead.

‘Thank you, oh sweet lovely spring,

Patiently waiting the charms you bring’
