Did you ever envisage exchanging vows at the base of the iconic Cliffs of Moher on a private rib, with the most breath-taking backdrop in the World? Now you can! We are very excited to plan and officiate intimate elopements or vow renewals with the Doolin Ferry Co. on the Wild Atlantic Way.
The name of these amazing sea cliffs came from the ancient Gaelic word ‘Mhothair’ (Moher) which means ruined fort. They rise to a jaw dropping height of over 214 metres (700ft) at their highest point.
The “Adventure Express Seafari” is a high speed rib, specially designed to accommodate smaller groups looking for unique experiences.
The Seafari rib will leave from Doolin Pier and in approximately 15 minutes will be at your ceremony location; north of O’Brien’s Tower, An Branán Mór (Sea Stack), Hags Head or the sea cave used in filming ‘Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince’. We will ensure we have enough time to officiate your memorable Ceremony and take lots of photographs and videos along the stunning West of Ireland coastline.
This memorable and fun experience will allow you to get up close and personal with dolphins and basking sharks, see thousands of birds nesting on the unique landscape of the Cliffs of Moher and explore the mystical Harry Potter Seacave, Seastacks, arches and much more and you will be back on dry land in plenty of time for more celebrations.

The Doolin Ferry Co. was established in 1970 and is celebrating over 50 years in business
The original founder, creator, and pioneer of the Aran Islands ferry from Doolin is the fabulous Bill O’Brien. It’s a story of chance and good old Irish creativity! Bill was a young local farmer who often visited the fine establishments of Doolin (the pubs of course). One fine summer’s day he met two American ladies who were visiting the area. Being able to see the Aran Islands from Doolin Pier they asked Bill:
“Can you tell us what’s out there across the water?”
“I can do you one better, I’ll show you!”
So off they set out from Doolin in a traditional currach for an adventure to Aran and history was made. Little did the two ladies know that was his maiden voyage in the year of 1970. It has been a long journey from the original currach to the luxurious fleet which the Doolin Ferry Co manage. You couldn’t be in safer hands with Bill and his son Liam. You can find out more about the Doolin Ferry Co on their website here
